CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jacket Esports team competed in a tripleheader sweeping Kettering 3-0 in Marvel Rivals before splitting a pair of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate matches.

Cedarville fell 2-0 to Kettering in Smash but rebounded with a 2-0 victory over Otterbein.

In Marvel Rivals, CU delivered a decisive 3-0 team win over Kettering. The Jackets opened with a 2-0 victory on Krakoa (Hellfire Gala) as Booshenwaffen earned MVP honors while running a Groot–Magneto–Phoenix–Punisher–Cloak & Dagger–Invisible Woman composition.

Game 2 went down to the wire on Central Park (Empire of Eternal Night), but Cedarville secured a 3-2 win behind MVP Fysx. The Yellow Jackets followed with another tight result in Game 3, edging Kettering 5-4 on Yggdrasill Path (Yggsgard). Fysx claimed MVP again as Cedarville completed the sweep.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate against Kettering, Cedarville dropped a pair of narrow 12-11 decisions. Set 1 was tied 2-2 before the Yellow Jackets were unable to close it out. In Set 2, CU held a 2-1 advantage, but Kettering rallied late to complete the comeback.

The Yellow Jackets bounced back against Otterbein with a 2-0 match victory. Cedarville dominated Set 1 by a 12-5 margin, powered by a strong performance from Wolf. Set 2 proved more competitive, but the Yellow Jackets pulled away late for a 12-9 win to secure the team triumph.
