COLUMBUS, Ohio – Cedarville battled Ohio Dominican through four sets before falling, 25-22, 21-25, 29-27, 25-17, in G-MAC action on Saturday at Alumni Hall.
After dropping the opener, the Lady Jackets responded in the second set. Cedarville held ODU to a .057 hitting percentage and pulled out the 25-21 decision to even the match.
The third proved to be the turning point as the two sides went to extras before the Panthers prevailed, 29-27. ODU carried the momentum into the fourth to close out the match.
Madelyn Hensley led the Cedarville attack with 13 kills and added six digs.
Allie Pilat finished with eight kills, while
Sienna Hanson totaled seven kills and was involved in a team-high eight blocks.
The Lady Jackets were strong at the net with 13 team blocks, with
Carley Craighead contributing four blocks
Alivia Rutt anchored the back row with a match-high 28 digs.
Bekah Williams added 16 digs and two service aces, while
Sidney Shepherd handed out 29 assists.
The Lady Jackets are 6-7 overall and 4-2 in G-MAC play. Their next contest is Wednesday against #21 Indianapolis.
