The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Nov. 27-Dec. 3) is cross country runner Savannah Ackley. The sophomore from Hart, Michigan led the Lady Jackets to a best-ever seventh place in the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship on Friday, Dec. 2 in University Place, Washington. Ackley placed 41st overall covering the 6,000 meters in 21:24.9 which is the best individual showing in school history. There were 263 competitors who began the race which was held at the Chambers Creek Regional Park.
