The Germain Ford of Beavercreek Female Athlete of the Week (Jan. 21-27) is track & field pole vaulter Haleigh Eckert. The senior from Mason, Ohio set the Cedarville school record in the indoor pole vault by 1/4 inch to win the event at the Wittenberg Showcase in Springfield, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 27. Eckert cleared 13-0.25 (3.97 meters) to improve her NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark and is currently tied for No. 8 in the country. The Lady Jackets finished second overall among the 20 participating schools.
