Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (Jan. 27-Feb. 2) is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The sophomore from Warrenville, Illinois became just the second Yellow Jacket to clear 17 feet in the pole vault with his 17-2.75 effort at the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational in the Doden Field House on Friday, Feb. 1. Ansiel's performance met the NCAA Division II qualifying mark and is currently the #2 mark in the country.
