Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (Feb. 17-23) is track & field middle distance runner Ethan Gatchell. The senior from Red Lion, Pennsylvania produced a pair of solid performances at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 22-23. Gatchell was a member of the winning Distance Medley Relay team with a NCAA II provisional qualifying time of 10:11.35. He was runner-up in the 800 meters with a 1:55.41 effort. Cedarville finished fifth at the 12-team event held in the University of Findlay's Malcolm Athletic Center in Findlay, Ohio.
