Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Male Athlete of the Week (March 24-30) is track & field pole vaulter Tommy Ansiel. The sophomore from Warrenville, Illinois captured first place in the pole vault with a 17-4.50 (5.30 meters) effort at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open. The mark met the NCAA Division II Automatic Qualifying Standard and set a new Doden Field House record as the pole vault event was brought indoors due to inclement weather. The Yellow Jackets won the meet which was held at the Yellow Jacket Track & Field Complex on Saturday, March 30.
