The Courtyard Springfield Marriott Female Athlete of the Week (December 8-14) is soccer player Bex Velloney. The senior defender from Chesapeake, Virginia was one of four Lady Jackets named to the NCCAA and United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team after leading CU to the 2019 NCCAA National Championship. Velloney also earned the tournament's Most Outstanding Player at the nine-team event held in Kissimmee, Florida from December 2-7, 2019.
