The Courtyard Marriott Springfield Female Athlete of the Week (Dec. 15-28) is basketball player Abby Wolford. The 5-foot-7 senior guard from West Harrison, Indiana averaged 19.5 points per game in a pair of non-conference outings last week. Wolford tossed in 18 markers and added seven rebounds in a 78-57 win over visiting Wilberforce on Thursday, Dec. 19. She followed up with 21 points in a 75-72 setback to Wayne State on Saturday, Dec. 21 in Detroit, Michigan.
