Hot-shooting Windsor surprises Cedarville

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Windsor (Ontario) shot a blistering 62 percent from the field in the second half to pull away for an 89-82 victory over the NAIA Division II #8 Yellow Jackets in the consolation game of the Northwood Invitational.

The Lancers hit big shot after big shot in the game's final seven minutes. With the score tied at 59-59, Windsor outscored CU 18-6 over the next four minutes to build an insurmountable 12-point bulge. The winners made 6-of-11 three-pointers in the second period and converted 10-of-12 free throws down the stretch.

Cedarville, 8-5 overall, bounced back from a pair of deficits earlier in the game to grab the lead. They surrendered the first seven points of the contest, but later went on top 18-11. The Jackets trailed 43-33, yet recovered for a 55-52 advantage at the 9:20 mark

Chris Beals finished with a career-high 29 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Ricardo Alliman tallied 17 points and Matt Harner chipped in 11. Windsor improves to 9-4. [STATS]
