MARION, Ind. - NAIA #17 Indiana Wesleyan kept its unbeaten streak against Cedarville in tact with a 4-0 non-conference victory over the Lady Jackets.
The host Wildcats outshot CU 8-0 in the first half in rolling to a 3-0 lead at the intermission. Indiana Wesleyan, 1-1 overall, scored in the 13th and 24th minutes before establishing a three-goal bulge with just 32 seconds left in the period.
Cedarville outshot IWU 5-4 in the second half, but the Wildcats netted the only goal in the frame in the game's 58th minute. Indiana Wesleyan finished with margins of 12-5 in shots overall and 7-3 in shots on goal.
Freshman keeper Alysia Bennett had two saves in 77 minutes of action while Brianne Barnes had a save in 13 minutes. The Lady Jackets, 1-3, have dropped three straight. The Wildcats improved to 11-0-1 in the all-time series against CU. [STATS]
