HOUGHTON, N.Y. - Alysia Bennett made nine saves to preserve a 0-0 double overtime draw for Cedarville at Houghton in an American Mideast Conference match.
Bennett secured her fourth shutout of the season and the 10th of her career. She is one shy of the school's record of 11 career shutouts held by Melissa Fawcett.
The host Highlanders peppered 27 shots toward the Lady Jacket goal but only nine were on frame. CU, on the other hand, mustered just five shots total with three on goal.
Cedarville is 5-7-1 overall and 3-2-1 AMC. It was the ninth scoreless dual in the program's 14-year history and the first since a 0-0 deadlock with Ohio Dominican on Oct. 7, 2008.
Houghton is 7-4-2 overall and 5-1-1 AMC.
