CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NAIA Division II #16 Cedarville turned a tight game into a rout by beating Greene County rival Wilberforce, 97-63, in the regular season home finale at the Callan Athletic Center.

The Yellow Jackets may have won their 11th straight American Mideast Conference contest, but it took awhile to shake off the pesky Bulldogs. There were six ties in the first period with CU up just 39-37 at the break.

It was a scant 48-47 lead with 15 minutes to go when Cedarville erupted. The Yellow Jackets outscored Wilberforce 49-16 the rest of the way including one string of 13 unanswered points.

Matt Harner hit five three-pointers and tallied 20 points for Cedarville, 21-8 overall and 13-2 AMC. Ricardo Alliman netted 19 points with 11 rebounds, Brandon Sok produced 11 points and Chris Beals chipped in 10. All 13 Yellow Jackets in uniform scored.

Cedarville shot 62 percent in the second half and outrebounded the Bulldogs, 45-32, for the game. Wilberforce drops to 9-19 and 3-12 AMC. [STATS]
