CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Lady Jacket sprinter Alexa Winik won two events in meet record time and was voted the Outstanding Performer of the Meet for the second straight year at the NCCAA Indoor Championship in the Doden Field House.
Winik established new school and meet records in the 55 meter dash, breaking her own previous marks in both, with a winning time of 7.19 seconds. She also claimed the 200 meter dash title in 25.41 to break another meet record that she set last year.
Winik finished her day as part of the 4 x 400 meter relay team that placed 3rd in 4:04.91. She joined Katie Lanphier, Johanna Ensslen, and Lydia Wong.
The top three places in each event are NCCAA Indoor All-Americans. The only other such performances for the Lady Jackets came from Wong, who repeated as champion in the mile run in 5:03.70 and also notched a win in the 800 meters in 2:16.35..
Bethel easily won the team title with 166 points. The rest of the top five was King, 84; Indiana Wesleyan, 79.5; Cedarville, 78.5; and Greenville, 64. A total of 14 teams competed. [COMPLETE RESULTS]
