ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Yellow Jackets struggled at the plate and in the field while dropping a doubleheader at Clearwater Christian, 4-3 and 7-1, to open the 2010 campaign.
Nate Davenport drove in all three Cedarville runs in the opener. His two-run homer in the 4th inning tied the game and an RBI single in the 5th gave the visitors their only lead of the night.
However, the Cougars pushed across an unearned run in the 5th to forge a 3-3 tie. They manufactured the game-winner in the 6th with a steal of home.

The nightcap turned out to be a nightmare for the Yellow Jackets. Seven errors led to six unearned runs for Clearwater Christian, who made the most of four hits.
