Jacket offense comes alive in win over NDC

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ricardo Alliman erupted for 25 points and 15 rebounds to help NAIA Division II #18 Cedarville outscore Notre Dame (Ohio), 92-81, in an American Mideast Conference battle played before 2,621 in the Callan Athletic Center.

The Falcons came to town allowing just 64 points per game. However, the Yellow Jackets made 12 three-pointers and shot 55 percent from the field overall in scoring the most points in any one game against NDC this season.

Cedarville buried 9-of-16 bombs in the first half in building a 53-42 advantage. The hot shooting continued at the outset of the second period when the difference reached 17 points just five minutes in. The Jackets had four 19-point leads late in the game before the Falcons finished with a 12-5 spurt.

Alliman was 10-of-11 from the field to go along with three blocked shots for Cedarville, 17-8 overall and 9-2 AMC. Chris Beals buried five three-pointers en route to 21 points and six assists.

Austin Foote came off the bench with five treys and 19 points. Matt Harner added 13 points as the Yellow Jackets won their seventh straight AMC outing. Notre Dame is 17-8 and 9-3 AMC. [STATS]
