CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets and visiting Walsh each tasted victory as they began the American Mideast Conference season. Cedarville claimed the opener, 3-2, with the Cavaliers taking the second contest, 4-2.
Nate Wilson was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to break a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the 6th inning in the first game. Winning pitcher Clint Price went the distance and got the final as Walsh left runners at second and third to end the game.

A pair of Yellow Jacket errors gave Walsh three unearned runs in the nightcap. Both teams produced just four hits each.
