JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Lydia Wong was the national champion in the mile run and Alexa Winik was an All-American in the 400 meter dash on the final day of the 30th Annual Women's NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Wong turned in a winning time of 4:55.08 to win the mile run by 3.34 seconds. It was the fourth time she earned All-America honors in the event after placing 3rd as a freshman, 2nd as a sophomore, and 6th last year. Wong is just the fifth NAIA indoor champion in school history.
Winik became an NAIA All-American for the first time in her career. She was timed in 56.65 seconds to place 3rd in the 400 meter dash final with only 0.40 seconds separating the top four finishers.
