CANTON, Ohio - Cedarville's woes against Malone continued as the defending American Mideast Conference champions took a pair of close games from the Yellow Jackets, 2-1 and 4-1.

A two-out RBI single in the 9th inning gave Malone the first contest. Clint Price went the distance on the mound with his team-leading fourth complete game.

Chris Ward recorded two of Cedarville's six hits. He scored the team's only run in the 2nd on a single by David Convertini. It remained a 1-0 contest until the Pioneers tied it in the bottom of the 6th on a solo homer. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE]

The Yellow Jacket bats were silenced on three hits in the nightcap even though they scored first. Rob Nesteroff came home in the 2nd inning on a two-out single by Derek Graham. Malone, 23-7 overall and 8-2 AMC, scored three times in the 4th to take the lead for good.
