WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Tyler Rost ripped a two-out two-run double in the bottom of the 7th inning to give Cedarville a 3-2 victory at Grace in the NCCAA Midwest Regional. The Yellow Jackets advance to Saturday's losers' bracket final to face Indiana Wesleyan.
CU was all but done against the host Lancers trailing 2-0 with two out and nobody on base in its final at bat. Pinch hitter Derek Graham worked the count to 3-2 and then hammered his first collegiate homer to break the shutout.
Chris Ward was hit by a pitch to keep the rally going and Paul Hembekides walked. Both runners moved up on a wild pitch and then scored when Rost delivered his eighth double of the season to win it.
Rost had two of Cedarville's five hits. Matthew Willett pitched the final inning and was credited with the win to improve to 5-4.
The Yellow Jackets squared their record at 26-26 while Grace ends its season at 21-33. [GRACE BOXSCORE]
