UPLAND, Ind. - Lydia Wong won two events and set one school record at the NCCAA Championship hosted by Taylor University. The Lady Jackets placed 5th in the 16-team meet.
Wong took nearly three seconds off of her school record in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:28.90. She also won the 800 meters in 2:13.36.
Cedarville's other victory came from Alexa Winik in the 200 meter dash in 24.85 seconds. She was the runner-up in the 400 in 55.70.
Meghan Terrell was 3rd in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:40.20 and Tara Leaman finished 3rd in the hammer with a throw of 147-feet 2-inches.
The 4 x 800 meter relay squad of Neola Putnam, Jessica Smith, Rachel Wong, and Abby Wong was 3rd in 9:28.88. The top three places earn All-America honors.
Bethel won the banner with 191.50 points and Malone was the runner-up with 153. The Lady Jackets were 5th with 70 points.
