CEDARVILLE, Ohio - NAIA #10 Indiana Wesleyan scored twice in the first ten minutes and went on to defeat the Lady Jackets, 3-1, in a non-conference match.
The Wildcats found the net in the 3rd and 10th minutes for a quick two-goal bulge. Another tally in the 33rd minute made it 3-0 by the break.
Cedarville, 3-5 overall, held its own in the second 45 minutes and scored the only goal of the half. Rachel Brownfield placed a shot over the keeper inside the penalty area for her second goal of the campaign. The assists came from Arianna Pepper, who delivered the ball on a restart from some 50 yards away, and Alexis Mickle.
IWU had the advantage in shots overall, 12-6, and on goal, 9-4. Alysia Bennett made six saves.
The Wildcats improved to 5-2. They have never lost to the Lady Jackets and now hold a 12-0-1 lead in the season series.
