CU cruises at Prasco

MASON, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets hammered 22 hits on the day including nine doubles to sweep a non-conference doubleheader from Ohio Christian at Prasco Park.

Cedarville made the most of nine hits, seven walks, and three hit batters to claim the opener, 13-3. The Jackets scored five times in their first at bat and the game was ultimately halted in the 5th inning by the 10-run mercy rule.

Rob Nesteroff was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, three RBI's, and two runs scored. Andrew York produced two hits, scored twice, and drove in three more runs.

Nate Davenport doubled and had three RBI's. #Juan Martinez, Jr# added two hits including a double, Paul Hembekides scored three runs with two more coming from Alex Beelen.

Freshman righthander David Ledbetter picked up the win in his collegiate debut. He struck out five batters in four innings.

The Yellow Jackets, 10-3 overall, totaled 14 hits in the nightcap. Nesteroff got the complete-game victory and struck out six.

Beelen went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI's. Cameron McWilliams contributed two hits, two runs, and drove in two more while Tyler Rost also had two hits.
