RESULTS

KETTERING, Ohio - Quinton Paul and Jared Gerber won the deciding match at #2 doubles to give the Yellow Jackets a 5-4 victory against Malone in a non-conference men's tennis contest played indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club.

The six singles matches were played first with each team winning three points. It was a 4-4 deadlock until Paul and Gerber clinched the outcome with an 8-3 result.

The #1 tandem of Aaron Niemiec and John Filcik nabbed the other doubles point for Cedarville. The score was 8-1.

Filcik and Paul both rallied for three-set victories in singles. Filcik bounced back for a 4-6, 7-6, 6-2 decision at the #2 spot while #3 Paul recovered for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 outcome. The remaining singles point came from #6 Josh Van Zandt, 6-1, 6-1.

The Yellow Jackets improve to 4-8 overall. Malone is 7-8.
