Cedarville stumbles in Nashville

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene came up with a run in the bottom of the 12th inning for a 6-5 win over the Yellow Jackets to complete a sweep of a Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The Trojans claimed a 4-2 victory in the opener.

Cedarville jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the nightcap but needed a rally in the ninth to force extra innings. Cam McWilliams' RBI single with one out knotted the score at 5-5.

McWilliams finished 3-for-4 with two walks, two runs scored, and two RBI's for the Yellow Jackets, 11-7 overall and 2-3 G-MAC. Dan Larkin slugged a solo homer, doubled, and drove in two runs.

Trevecca Nazarene improved to 18-11 and 2-0 G-MAC.

The host Trojans hammered three solo home runs in the first game. After CU scored once in the sixth inning to tie it, 1-1, TNU answered with three runs in its half of the frame.

Each team registered eight hits. McWilliams and Steve Cardwell had two hits apiece for the Yellow Jackets.
