David Ledbetter smacked a game-tying three-run triple and
Chris Fox followed with a go-ahead sacrifice fly to propel Cedarville to a 6-5 win over Salem International and a sweep of their non-conference doubleheader.
The Yellow Jackets coasted to an 11-1 win in the opener.
The Tigers were hoping to get out of town with a split after turning around a 2-1 deficit in game two with a four-run fifth inning.
However, CU answered with four runs in its half of the fifth. Ledbetter cleared the bases with his one-out triple and then scored on the sac fly by Fox.
Ryan Ledbetter, 6-1, tossed the final 2 2/3 innings to get the win in relief of starter
Rob Nesteroff.
Cam McWilliams finished 3-for-4 with a steal and three runs scored for the Yellow Jackets, 20-9 overall.
Chris Ward added two hits including a double.
Logan Kasabian went 4-for-4 and drove in four runs during the first game victory. Ward was 3-for-4 while Fox and
Steve Cardwell chipped in two hits apiece.
