Jackets sweep Salem; win streak at five

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CEDARVILLE, Ohio - David Ledbetter smacked a game-tying three-run triple and Chris Fox followed with a go-ahead sacrifice fly to propel Cedarville to a 6-5 win over Salem International and a sweep of their non-conference doubleheader.

The Yellow Jackets coasted to an 11-1 win in the opener.

The Tigers were hoping to get out of town with a split after turning around a 2-1 deficit in game two with a four-run fifth inning.

However, CU answered with four runs in its half of the fifth. Ledbetter cleared the bases with his one-out triple and then scored on the sac fly by Fox.

Logan Kasabian went 4-for-4 and drove in four runs during the first game victory. Ward was 3-for-4 while Fox and Steve Cardwell chipped in two hits apiece.

Starting pitcher David Ledbetter, 5-4, allowed one unearned run and fanned 10 batters in five innings of work. Jordan Ammon mopped up the final two innings.
