CEDARVILLE 6  TREVECCA NAZARENE 5

The Yellow Jackets, 26-14 overall, trailed the host Trojans, 5-4, entering the ninth inning. Chris Ward and David Lenhardt led off with back-to-back singles and both moved up a base on a wild pitch.

Winning pitcher Sean Larkin, 5-1, allowed a one-out walk in the ninth before retiring the final two batters.

Larkin struck out six after coming on in relief in the fifth. He escaped a bases loaded, one-out jam in the seventh and got TNU to leave the bases full in the eighth after the Trojans had scored to break a 4-4 tie.

Cardwell had two hits including a double and two RBI's. Ward and Lenhardt contributed two hits and two runs apiece.
