Box Score TAMPA, Fla. - Eight Eckerd players scored at least seven points en route to defeating the Yellow Jackets, 74-61, in the first game of the Tampa Classic.

The Tritons, 5-3, had just one player in twin figures. Seven others contributed between seven and nine points apiece.

Marcus Reineke poured in 26 points as the only Yellow Jacket to reach double digits. He hit 10-of-14 shots from the field including 5-for-7 from long range. Cedarville drops to 3-9.

The Jackets got off to a quick start. A 10-point run helped them bolt to an 18-10 lead in the game's first seven minutes.

Eckerd answered with nine consecutive points and never trailed again. It was 37-28 at halftime.

Cedarville was never able to make a serious run in the second half as the Tritons built the largest lead to 61-42 at the 8:45 mark. They shot 53 percent from the field and controlled the boards, 39-22.
