Alyssa Maillefer's goal in the fourth minute held up for a 1-0 G-MAC result over Ohio Valley in the annual Homecoming women's soccer match.
Lauren Lichty put a ball off the crossbar that Maillefer headed home just 3:16 into the contest. It was her third goal of the season.
After that, goalkeeper
Hanna Harris and the CU defense did the rest. The senior keeper was credited with five saves in what was her second shutout of the season.
The Lady Jackets doubled up the visitors in shots overall, 20-10. They also had an 8-5 advantage on goal.
Cedarville improves to 3-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 G-MAC. All three wins have been by 1-0 scorelines.

John McGillivray was honored for his 42 years of coaching soccer at Cedarville University as part of the Homecoming festivities.
