Box Score XENIA, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets halted a three-match losing streak with a 4-1 result over Malone in a G-MAC men's soccer game played at the Athletes in Action Complex.
Cedarville improved to 4-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 G-MAC. The contest was moved to the AIA turf after heavy rain earlier in the day left the Jackets' home field unplayable.
CU struck quickly as
Connor Gilmour buried a shot just 35 seconds after kickoff.
Jon Brown was credited with the assist.
It stayed that way until Brown scored unassisted in the 53rd minute, but Malone cut the deficit to 2-1 less than three minutes later.
John Schwien's first of the year from
Bryce Childers provided some insurance in the 71st minute.
Childers headed home a corner from
Conner Hughes in the 78th to ice it.
Graham Sachtleben notched his first career win in goal. He was called upon to make one save.
