Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. - Northwood scored late in the first overtime to pull out a 2-1 non-conference decision against Cedarville.

The winner for the host Timberwolves, 2-0, came in the 99th minute.

The outcome took the air out of the Lady Jackets' rally. Alyssa Maillefer tied the match in the 84th minute with Creslyn Van Dyck assisting.

Northwood's first goal came on a penalty kick in the 31st minute.

Senior Hanna Harris and freshman Allison Garlock split time in goal. Harris didn't need to make a save in the first half while Garlock was credited with three after intermission.

"It was nice to create more opportunities today. We also proved we could come from behind and tie it up as that showed we can handle adversity.

"Unfortunately, we were flat from an energy standpoint in overtime and NU capitalized on it. We will continue to learn and improve as there is a lot of soccer yet to play this season."
