HILLSDALE, Mich. -
Sarah Parsons slugged her second homer of the day and winning pitcher
Danielle Wolgamot drove in four runs as Cedarville buried Hillsdale, 13-1, to wrap up a G-MAC twinbill.
The host Chargers shocked the Lady Jackets with a late rally in the opener to eventually win 6-5 in nine innings.
Cedarville, 29-15 overall and 18-4 G-MAC, broke open the second game with a six-run second inning after the first two batters were retired.
Wolgamot ripped a three-run double,
Morgan Arbogast had an RBI single, and Parsons unloaded a two-run shot.
Arbogast and
Avary Humes sparked the 15-hit attack with three hits apiece. Parsons, Wolgamot, and
Danae Fields added two hits each.
Wolgamot, 5-1, struck out five and walked one while registering a complete game which was halted after five innings by the eight-run mercy rule.
In game one, Parsons and
Jessica Steger belted two-run homers and CU enjoyed a 5-0 lead. However, Hillsdale scored four runs in the sixth, tied it in the seventh, and won it on an RBI double in the ninth.
