Box Score 2 OWENSBORO, Ky. - Kentucky Wesleyan swept Cedarville in an usual day-night Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader.
The Panthers edged CU, 7-6, on their home field in a contest that was delayed three hours by weather. The hosts claimed the second contest, 15-7, under the lights at Apollo High School which began at 10:30 p.m. EDT.
The Yellow Jackets nearly erased a six-run deficit in the opener. They closed to within one in the eighth with runners on second and third with one out, but could not push across the equalizer.
Ross Melchior totaled three hits with a double, two RBI's, and two runs scored.
Sean Masiakiewicz matched him with three hits including a double.
Colton Potter doubled twice and drove in three runs while
Jesse Bush added a double.
KWC used two big innings to win the seven-inning nightcap. The Panthers scored seven runs in the second inning and six more in the fourth.
Masiakiewicz, Melchior, and Potter each registered two hits for Cedarville, 9-28 overall and 4-20 G-MAC.

- Masiakiewicz, Melchior, and Potter combined for 14 hits, five doubles, nine RBI's, and seven runs scored in the two games.
- Cedarville outhit Kentucky Wesleyan in the second game, 12-9. Seven of the Panther runs were unearned.
