ALLENDALE, Mich. - Alayna Ackley and Evan Leist established school records in the 5,000 meter run at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet - Friday.

Ackley posted a time of 16:57.04 in her section of the event at the Kelly Family Sports Center.

The effort was more than ten seconds faster than the previous record which she owned.

Bethany Sholl was timed in 17:04.13 which is now the second-fastest 5K time in school history. 

Naomi Herman turned in a 17:15.25 performance - No. 4 on CU's all-time list.

Savannah Ackley competed in the 3,000 meters and came across the line in 10:11.86.

Leist toured the men's 5K in 14:24.05 which took more than three seconds off of the previous record.

All four of Cedarville's 5K runners met their respective NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
