SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -
Rachel Sweeney-Bredeson broke the school record in the 3,000 meters to pace a string of notable performances for the Lady Jackets at the Wittenberg Invitational.
She was clocked in 9:50.25 to clip the previous record by 0.03 and meet the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the process.
Hanah Rhem placed third in a PR of 9:52.94 as a DII provisional qualifier with the third-best effort on the Jackets' Top 10.
Nora Hagan, who has already met the DII mark in the 60 meter dash, won the event in 7.67 seconds - tying her second-fastest time in school history.
Alayna Ackley won the mile run in a personal-best 4:55.63 which rates ninth at CU.
Hannah Willow cleared a career-best 5-6.50 (1.69 meters) to take first in the high jump. The mark is No. 4 all-time for the Lady Jackets and is a NCAA provisional qualifier.
Haleigh Eckert was the winner in the pole vault at 12-3.25 (3.74m) which is No. 9 in the program's history.
Stinger Notes:
- Hagan's time in the 60 prelims of 7.70 is the sixth-fastest at Cedarville.
- Alexandra Brizzi was the runner-up in the 60 (7.74) and is No. 8 in CU's rankings.
- Bethany Sholl was third in the mile with a PR of 4:59.90.
- Katie Hadley was the triple jump runner-up with a leap of 34-10.25 (10.62m).
- Emma Bailey was second in the shot put at 40-1.50 (12.23m).
