ASHLAND, Ohio - Perhaps the third time will be the charm when the No. 5 seed Lady Jackets face No. 1 and unbeaten Ashland in the second round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship.

The G-MAC rivals meet on the Eagles' Ferguson Field with kickoff at 3:00 p.m. EST on Saturday.

Live coverage will be on the G-MAC Digital Network and SIDEARM Stats.

The Jackets advanced with a 3-2 double overtime result against No. 4 and G-MAC champion Northwood on Thursday.

United Soccer Coaches Division II No. 2 Ashland shut down Michigan Tech, 3-0, in its first round contest.

The Eagles, 18-0-4, possess an air tight defense that has allowed just four goals this season while scoring 53.

However, Cedarville, 16-4-1, owns one of those four goals in a 3-1 regular season setback at then No. 1 Ashland on Sept. 30.

The Eagles then blanked CU, 3-0, in the G-MAC semifinals on Nov. 9 in Midland, Mich.

Ashland holds a 6-2 edge in the all-time series that began during the 2014 season.

The winner advances to the Super Regional along with the winner of No. 7 Maryville and No. 3 Grand Valley State, who play their Midwest Region second round tilt on Sunday in Marquette, Mich.
