JOPLIN, Mo. -
Hannah Rhem and
Savannah Ackley ran to All-America honors and Cedarville finished tenth in the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Championship.
Rhem placed 21st in 20:29.3 and Ackley was 38th in 20:40.6 for the 6,000 meters at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course.
They are the first two Lady Jackets to earn All-America status (Top 40) in women's cross country.
Corinne Lynch was 75th in the field of 264 competitors in 21:18.3 and
Abby Drosdak was 97th in 21:33.4.
Also scoring were
Naomi Herman (134th; 21:55.9),
Aubrey Harrington (174th; 22:14.9), and
Audrianna Enns (215th; 22:54.8).
Midwest Region power Grand Valley State won the team championship with 59 points and was followed by Adams State (86) and Colorado School of Mines (121).
Cedarville totaled 300 points in posting its second consecutive Top 10 finish.
