CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets pushed Ohio Wesleyan to the limit in a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate contest before the Battling Bishops hung on for a 2-0 win.
 
Cedarville dropped the opening set 12-7 and nearly forced a decisive third set.
 
In the rematch, the Jackets and OWU traded stocks throughout before the Bishops prevailed, 12-11, in a last-stock, last-hit finish.
 
Cedarville featured a rotation of characters across both sets, including Joker, Sheik, Fox, Corrin, Mii Brawler, and Cloud.
 
The Yellow Jackets stayed within striking distance throughout the night, especially in the second set, where they nearly closed out a dramatic comeback.
