SPRINGFIELD, Ohio –
Summer Swartwout crushed her own school record in the 60 meter dash to lead the Lady Jackets at the Wittenberg Opener inside The Steemer.
The sophomore from Cincinnati turned in a winning time of 7.42 seconds to take 0.11 seconds off her previous best. Her prelims mark of 7.48 is No. 2 in school history.
Additionally, Swartwout met the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championship.
Cedarville had two first place showings in the field events led by
Angela Williams in the long jump at 18-1 (5.51 meters) – tied for No. 8 in program history.
Sophia Schneider won the pole vault with a mark of 11-11.75 (3.65m).
Sydney Diedrich was the runner-up in the 800 meters (2:18.10) and the Lady Jackets placed third in four other events.
The Jackets are off until January 23 when they host the Cedarville Collegiate Invite at the Doden Field House.
