CLEVELAND, Tenn. -
Matt Schaeckenbach and
Josh Paul both won events and the Yellow Jackets finished third in the Lee Invitational.
Ashland won the tightly-contested 24-team meet with 88 points. Saginaw Valley State was second with 87 points and Cedarville totaled 84.
Schaeckenbach won the 400 meter hurdles in 55.12 seconds and was third in the 110 meter hurdles in 14.65.
He was the runner-up in the high jump by clearing 6-9.50 (2.07 meters) and met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard. It also tied the sixth-best jump in school history.
The other winner for the Jackets was
Josh Paul in the triple jump with a mark of 45-9 (13.94m).
Andrew Suter was second in the pole vault with a performance of 14-5.25 (4.40m).
Caleb Sultan finished fourth in the 800 meters in 1:51.69 - the seventh-fastest time on CU's Top 10 list.
