KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Lady Jackets placed third at the Wilmington Invitational and
Summer Swartwout broke her own school record at the Tennessee Invite.
Swartwout, a freshman sprinter from Cincinnati, set a CU record in the 200 meters with a time of 24.09 seconds on the Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium.
She placed 15th in the high-profile meet and was 0.06 seconds faster than the mark she set six days earlier in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.
Swartwout finished seventh in the 100 meter dash in 11.67 seconds - just 0.02 shy of her own record.
Emily Walsh was eighth in the 800 meters in a career-best 2:15.35 and placed fifth in the 1,500 in 4:35.20.
Aubrey Hayes took fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:21.85.

At Wilmington, the Lady Jackets won three events and placed third out of 12 schools.
Winners were
Nora Hagan in the 100 (12.89),
Audrianna Enns in the 800 (2:18.17), and
Sydney Yoder in the 5,000 (17:58.79).
Three others had runner-up performances -
Mallory Gasper in the 200 (26.23),
Hope Carroll in the 400 (1:00.22), and
Contessa Silva in the 5,000 (18:02.15).
