CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Senior defender Amari Everage is the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and NCCAA Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week.

The Odessa, Texas native headed in his first career goal at Cedarville to spark the No. 15 Yellow Jackets to a 2-0 victory over No. 21 Lee on Sept. 11 while playing 75 minutes.

He followed it up on Sept. 13 with an assist in a 1-1 draw versus Trevecca Nazarene, logging 74 minutes on the back line.

Everage has been a key part of a defense that has conceded only one goal – a penalty kick – through the first four matches of the season.
