CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets swept Otterbein, 2-0, in Super Smash Bros Ultimate action.
 
Cedarville secured the National Association of Collegiate Esports victory with decisive scores of 12-6 and 12-4.
 
In the opening set, Elijah Payton and Mark Merchant set the tone. Payton claimed six stocks with Pokémon Trainer, while Merchant matched him with six more using Corrin. Together, they closed out a 12-6 win over the Cardinals.
 
The Jackets sealed the sweep in the second set behind a dominant performance from Mathias Hahn.
 
Competing as Joker, Hahn tallied eight stocks against three different opponents. Isaac Luke added four more as Fox to lock in the 12-4 triumph.
 
Cedarville improves to 2-0 in Super Smash Bros Ultimate competition this season.
 
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Sept. 25 when they face Lawrence Tech.
