CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets battled to a dramatic 3–2 victory over Cornell College in Marvel Rivals on Monday night.
The best-of-five series featured back-and-forth momentum with Cedarville sealing the match in decisive fashion on the final map.
Cornell took the opener on
Hell's Heaven by a narrow 2–1 margin, but Cedarville responded with a 3-1 win on
Central Park behind an MVP performance from Fsyx.
The Rams regained the edge on
Yggdrasill Path despite strong play from Fsyx, who earned SVP honors.
The Yellow Jackets forced a winner-take-all showdown with a 2-0 sweep on
Krakoa where Fsyx once again claimed MVP. In the decisive fifth map,
Symbiotic Surface, Booshenwaffen rose to the occasion with an MVP effort as Cedarville closed out the match, 1–0.
