CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Jackets came up short in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate action falling to Lawrence Tech 2–0 in a best-of-three series.

The Blue Devils claimed the match by scores of 12-6 and 12-8.

Cedarville rotated through a diverse roster featuring Corrin, Fox, Sheik, Mii Brawler, and Joker in an effort to counter the Blue Devils' lineup of Mii Gunner, Ridley, Bayonetta, and Donkey Kong.

After dropping the opening round, the Jackets battled back in the second with tighter stock management, pushing Lawrence Tech to the final characters before the hosts secured the series win.
