SPRINGFIELD, Ohio –
Brandon Rogers and
Caleb Sultan set school records to lead the Yellow Jackets to victory at the Wittenberg Steemer Showcase.
Rogers won the 400 meters in 47.51 seconds to take 0.06 off his own record and meet the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
Rogers also finished first in the 200 in 21.87 which is the No. 2 mark in school history.
Sultan ran to victory in the 800 in 1:50.43 to shave 0.39 off his previous CU record and hit the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Another provisional qualifier was
Andrew Suter with a winning pole vault effort of 15-9 (4.80 meters).
Cedarville's other win came from Matt Schaekenbach in the 60 meter hurdles (8.07).
Josh Paul was the runner-up in the triple jump at 46-6 (14.17m) – No. 4 on the Jackets' Top 10.
Nehemiah Barrett was second in the high jump at 6-7.50 (2.02m).
CU won the 22-team meet with 109 points with the host Tigers (66.75) second and Indianapolis (50) third.
