WESTFIELD, Ind. – Cedarville stung Saginaw Valley State, but lost to Lewis to begin a three-team round robin series at Grand Park.
The Jackets edged SVSU, 3-2, in the opener by making the most of three hits, seven walks, and three hit batters.
Trailing 2-0, CU pushed across a run in the sixth inning and two more in the seventh.
Chris Montes de Oca had two of the three hits and scored the winning run.
Graham Ward had the other base hit.

Jensen Wagoner, 1-1, went 7.1 innings with six strikeouts and no walks.
Jordan Geiger finished up to get the save.
Lewis won the nightcap, 4-2. The Flyers took a 4-0 lead in the third and allowed runs by the Yellow Jackets in the sixth and ninth.
Eli Henderson had two hits for Cedarville, 2-5 overall.
