ASHLAND, Ohio –
Emily Walsh won the mile and
Summer Swartwout was the runner-up in the 60 and 200 to set the tone for Cedarville at the G-MAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Walsh turned in a winning time of 4:52.79 at the Niss Athletic Center – the sixth-fastest effort in program history.
Swartwout was second in the 60 meter dash (7.46) as well as the 200 (24.01). Her 200 prelims time of 23.92 broke the school record and her 60 prelims time of 7.44 ranks second all-time at CU.
The distance medley relay foursome of Walsh,
Audrianna Enns,
Mallory Gasper, and
Sydney Diedrich was the runner-up in 11:38.20 which is No. 3 on the Jackets' Top 10.
Host Ashland won the team title with 179.5 points. Completing the top five were Hillsdale (157), Findlay (118), Cedarville (70), and Tiffin (48).
