CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Lady Jackets will play four games in Tennessee to begin the 2026 softball campaign.
Lee University is the host of the Chattanooga Invitational at Frost Stadium & Warner Park Complex.
Cedarville opens against Lee at 12:30 p.m. EST on Friday followed by Alabama-Huntsville at 3:00.
Saturday's schedule features Illinois Springfield at 11:00 a.m. and the tournament finale vs. McKendree at 1:30 p.m.
Head Coach
Kelsey Chapman is back for her fifth season after leading her team to its third straight G-MAC Tournament appearance last spring.
The Jackets ended up 19-31 overall and 13-11 G-MAC which was a notable finish following a 4-16 start to the schedule.
Sophomore outfielder
Ella Leonard is the top returning player. The All-G-MAC Second Team choice batted .360 with eight doubles, three triples, three homers, and a team-leading 33 RBIs.
Leonard, who stole 20 bases in 21 attempts, is the only returning player to start all 50 games.
Returning to the circle will be a trio of sophomores in
Kara Adkins,
Maya Merrill, and
Emma Wylie.
The Jackets will play four games at UVA-Wise on Feb. 13-14 and then return to the Space Coast Spring Games in Florida on March 2-7.
The home opener is slated for March 13 against Davenport. The G-MAC schedule also begins at home vs. Thomas More on March 20.
