AKRON, Ohio — Cedarville dropped their G-MAC tournament opener 15-0 to Tiffin on Tuesday at Firestone Stadium. The contest, played on a rainy April day, was shortened to five innings.
Tiffin seized control early, plating five runs in the first inning and adding eight more in the second to build a commanding lead. The Yellow Jackets were limited offensively, finishing with three hits and one walk against the Dragons' pitching staff.
Cedarville's best scoring opportunity came in the third inning when
Macy Sidebottom doubled to right center, but the Yellow Jackets were unable to bring her home.
Ella Leonard and
Lindsey Linker each added singles, accounting for the team's other hits.
The Lady Jackets will regroup and take on the loser of Findlay vs. Hillsdale on April 30 in an elimination game.
